Welcome to Troop 832's Website!

Troop 832 was originally chartered in 1992 out of St. John Neumann Catholic Church and over the years has transformed from a small group of eager boys and leaders to a Troop of over 40 boys operating in seven Patrols.  Our Scouting program is built around the traditions of Scouting and uses the Patrol Method in order for the young men of our Troop to have the opportunity to to learn and use leadership skills in planning outings, preparing menus, teaching outdoor skills, encouraging advancement, solving problems, handling finances, and many other activities.

“The patrol method is not a way to operate a Boy Scout troop, it is the only way. Unless the patrol method is in operation, you don't really have a Boy Scout troop.”  - Robert S. S. Baden-Powell

If you would like to find out more about Troop 832 please enjoy browsing our website or feel free to contact the Scoutmaster directly by telephone or email (Jeff Morris at 804-513-9817 or at jeffmorris3@msn.com).

Reaching Eagle

Posted on Jan 26 2012 - 2:51pm

If you are a Life Scout in Troop 832 and are reaching for Eagle, then this is for you.  Mr. David Lyles is our Troop's "Life-to-Eagle" coordinator and he is always available to answer your questions and provide any guidance you may need.  If you have recently achieved the rank of Life Scout and have not contacted Mr. Lyles, then please do so at your earliest convenience.  He will meet with you and review all the forms and steps that you need to follow to make the process easier.  You may email Mr. Lyles at dlyles@bonairbaptist.org or call him directly (804-814-6903).  Both Mr. David Lyles and Mr. John Long are Eagle Project Coaches for our Troop.  One of them will be assigned as your coach once you have taken the first steps to start your project.
